She was universally known as Lony. From 1938 until deportation to Westerbork in 1943, she owned and ran the Café de Paris at Beethovenstraat 9, Amsterdam-Zuid. This became a focal point for the local German Jewish colony.
She was transferred from Westerbork to Theresienstadt in early 1944 and then to Auschwitz later that year. She perished in Auschwitz two days after arrival.
