The attached picture of my dad was cropped from a group picture depicting a gathering of the faculty of the school where he taught “ houtbewerking” en wiskunde! He was a civil Engineer himself. The picture was taken around 1939 or 1940 when he was assitent-directeur van de Dick de Hoogschool in bandung before the Japanese invasion and before he became a POW. Another interesting part of this picture is to show the prevailing dress mode of the Europeans at the time during colonial times. Tropical linen suits! Sluiten
