Only 21 years old, Gerard Goldman died far away from his home and family. He was a fun young man with a zest for life, a beloved son and brother. This is what happened to him.He was transferred to No.14 Branch Camp of Fukuoka POW Camp on 24 June 1944; Died of fracture of the cranium at 08:40 on 4 September 1944. Cremation. Killed in accident; The transport ship for mainland Japan was sunk out of Nagasaki Port and he was rescued and temporarily interned in No.14 Branch Camp of Fukuoka POW Camp on 25 June 1944; Officially interned in No.14 Branch Camp of Fukuoka POW Camp at Saiwai-machi, Nagasaki City on 1 August 1944; Killed in accident while working at No.2 casting factory at 08:40 on 4 September 1944; Place ashes are kept: Buried in the Foreigners Cemetery at Mezame-machi on 30 April 1945.
